A visit to Torbay is not complete until you have seen the world famous village and estate of Cockington and its stately Manor House.

Nestling deep in a hidden valley, Cockington's 450 acres of parkland is a surprising oasis of calm and beauty away from the bustle of Torbay.

Step back in time to visit thatched cottages, enjoy cream teas in enchanting tea-rooms or watch as the potter, glassblowers, smith and other craftspeople demonstrate their unique skills in the most delightful of surroundings - and note that there is no entrance fee.

Cockington is the perfect jewel in Torbay's crown. A visit is highly recommended.

Sit back and enjoy the breathtaking views from Daddyhole Plain whilst learning the history of the Russian royal family that were once frequent visitors to this area.

View the Bishop's Path, which was part of the Summer Palace of the Bishop of Exeter (now the Palace Hotel) and learn of it's history

Pass the world famous Kents Cavern and the Gleneagles Hotel of Faulty Towers fame

We now visit Babbacombe Downs and see breathtaking views of Lyme Bay and on a clear day, Portland Bill can be seen. This is a good opportunity to have a much needed break before we continue on our journey.
